Faculty Mentor Information

USI Endeavor Awards

Endeavor proposals must be written by the student(s). The faculty sponsor will work with the student to produce a well-written proposal including an accurate budget and project timeline. Projects that do not contain a substantial student research or creative component will not be considered. The Endeavor Committee strongly recommends students submit proposals to their faculty mentor ten days before the Endeavor proposal deadline. The faculty mentor will then recommend the project for funding and sign the cover sheet to validate that the project and the proposal are the student’s original work.

The faculty sponsor bears the responsibility of reviewing the proposal and providing feedback before the student submits a proposal. The faculty sponsor is expected to attend the annual Endeavor Symposium. Please note that Endeavor grants are awarded to the student, not the faculty member. All grant expenses and reimbursement requests must be completed before the student’s graduation.
