University Division’s Academic Skills offers academic support for all USI students. They offer study skills and subject-based tutoring, academic coaching, Supplemental Instruction, General Studies (GENS) courses, Success Series Workshops, and the Writers’ Room. All of these programs are free to enrolled USI students.
The USI CARE team is a cross-functional assessment group, chaired by
the Dean of Students. This team, of which the Counseling Center is a part, works collaboratively to provide confidential, respectful, and proactive support and resources. The CARE Team centralizes the reporting of information, publicizes current policy, and encourages early intervention. Anyone (students, parents, faculty/staff, community members) can make a CARE Team referral when they know of a student in need or when they are concerned about a student's behavior. Although not encouraged, referrals may be made anonymously.
Career Counseling helps students explore internal and external factors to help them determine the right career option.
Career Services & Placement helps students with resumés, locating jobs, and preparing for interviews. This office also coordinates internship opportunities and holds multiple job fairs every year.
The Dean of Students Office helps students by connecting them to resources, helping them navigate administrative processes within the University, and advocating for them (as appropriate) when they face academic and personal challenges.

In addition to providing housing, this department delivers many programatic events throughout the year. These events help students to connect with each other and grow as individuals.
International Programs & Services
This office provides information, services, and programs designed to meet the unique needs of international students and scholars. This office also assists in the development and coordination of overseas study programs.
The Multicultural Center seeks to developing diversity awareness within students to build a bridge between college life and future multicultural experiences.
Office of Disability Resources
The Office of Disability Resources assists students with documented disabilities (physical, emotional, developmental, or other) to obtain and benefit from appropriate and reasonable academic accommodations. Some typical accommodations include extended test time, assistance with note taking, and distraction reduced testing.
The Office of Public Safety is responsible for traffic control, security of physical assets, and the safety of all employees, students, and guests on campus. All of the staff are trained in first aid and other emergency procedures. A security escort services is also available for those on campus after dark.
Outreach & Engagement - Continuing Education
This office offers noncredit short courses designed to provide opportunities for personal growth and development.
Recreation, Fitness, & Wellness
While best known across campus for the Fitness Center, this office also coordinates intermural sports, hosts multiple outdoor adventures, and supports the overall wellness of the university community.
The Office of the Registrar is responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and utility of USI's academic records. Amongst other things, this office coordinates scheduling, withdrawals, and academic transcripts.
Religious Life provides religious guidance and worship opportunities for students, faculty, and staff. Their goal is to get the word out on ways to stay active in your faith life while at USI.

Student Development Programs helps students get the FULL college experience! This office helps make college more fun while providing experiences future employers are looking for. They coordinate student organizations, orientation, and various leadership programs.
This office helps students and their families seek, obtain, and make the best use of all the resources available to finance the costs of attending USI.
For 144 qualified students, the Student Support Services program provides classroom instruction, academic skill development, academic assistance and career development, personal and financial aid counseling, and other experiences designed to enhance the collegiate experience on USI’s campus.
The University Health Center is a full-service clinic offering medical services and health-related information to students, faculty, and staff. Services are very affordable with the Office Visit Plan, but personal insurance plans are also accepted.
Volunteering is a great way to develop a personal sense of satisfaction while developing valuable work experience. Check out all of the opportunities available.
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is a SAFE ZONE for individuals of all ethnicities, abilities, religions, sexual orientations, physical appearances/sizes, and gender identities.
