Interview Preparation

Intern

Practice makes perfect. You should never go into an interview without practicing and preparing first. Research the company, visit their LinkedIn page and their website, especially the "About" page. Make sure you know what they do and their company mission. Meet with USI Career Services to discuss interview specifics and do a mock interview. Many employers now use video software to do first-round interviews. USI students can practice that skill on Career Launch with the Video Mock Interview tool. In addition, you should practice talking about your skills, what you can bring to the company. Schedule an appointment with a USI Career Coordinator to practice and learn more about interview preparation.
