Readmission Procedures
Once enrolled at the University an undergraduate student, who for any reason does not re-enroll in a subsequent fall and/or spring semester, must initiate an Application for Readmission in the Office of the Registrar prior to returning to campus for the next enrollment. Degree-seeking readmission students are required to submit an official grade transcript from each institution attended since last attending USI. If a student discontinues enrollment for more than one calendar year, then the student must re-enroll under the current program requirements. A student may petition the department chair for permission to grandfather back to the original program requirements.

Fresh Start
The Fresh start program is designed to benefit former USI undergraduate students who are returning to the University after an extended absence and whose previous academic record was unsatisfactory (student was dismissed).  This program allows a readmitting student who wishes to complete an unfinished undergraduate degree a one-time opportunity to apply for a "Fresh Start".

Course Repeat
Any undergraduate course taken at the University may be repeated for possible grade point average (GPA) improvement.  Refer to the Course Repeat policy for details, or contact the Office of the Registrar with questions; 812-464-1761 or 800-467-1965.
