Common Data Set
The Common Data Set (CDS) initiative is a collaborative effort among data providers in the higher education community and publishers, as represented by the College Board, Peterson's-Thomson Learning, and U.S. News & World Report.
The combined goal of this collaboration is to improve the quality and accuracy of information provided to all involved in a student's transition into higher education, as well as to reduce the reporting burden on data providers.

IPEDS provides basic data needed to describe and analyze trends in postsecondary education in the United States, in terms of the numbers of students enrolled, staff employed, dollars expended, and degrees earned.
Surveys
The Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE) was designed to complement the student survey of engagement and measures faculty expectations for student engagement in educational practices. This collection also contains general Faculty and Staff Surveys.
The Student Survey collection includes results from the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), which collects information about student participation in programs and activities, providing an estimate of how undergraduates spend their time and what they gain from attending college, and also results from the USI Student Experience Survey which asks students questions regarding their experiences while attending USI with topics ranging from experiences with their academic advisors to alcohol use.
