On May 18, 2020 the USI Foundation Board of Directors honored Vicki Campbell as the 2020 recipient of the Suzanne A. Nicholson Leadership Award.Â
Vicki continues to lead by example at USI and her interest in our students is genuine. She welcomes USI students, alumni, and friends into her home, advocates for the University at every opportunity, and generously supports a variety of USI programs. From the arts to study abroad experiences, Vicki's engagement and support of USI is all encompassing.
In addition, Vicki has immersed herself into carrying out the mission of USI. Namely remaining a bridge between the University and its strong connection to New Harmony. Vicki's involvement in the New Harmony Conversations Project helped take a new initiative from ground level and elevated it into the entire community. Her quiet leadership weaves into the fabric of the University. Vicki joined the US Foundation Board of Directors 11 years ago, and her service is invaluable. Vicki also remains the proud parent of a USI alumna, daughter Laura from the Class of 2005.
A loyal friend and a member of the President’s Circle, Vicki's involvement, example, and personal generosity, exemplify the very best qualities of leadership and reflect the ideals of the University.
