Involvement Opportunities

General Membership

General members attend our monthly meetings and provide input and feedback about GSPN activities. General members may volunteer at any time to be involved with a GSPN event, program or activity. We welcome new ideas and would love to further expand what we are able to offer to graduate students.

Communications Commettee

The GSPN invites individuals with an interest in communications to serve on our Communications Committee. Members of this committee seek out content relevant to graduate students (leadership opportunities, networking events, University events, job or internship opportunities, etc.), write short blurbs about content pieces, interview graduate students/alumni/faculty who go above and beyond to be featured in short "spotlight" articles, and construct the electronic Graduate Student Newsletter.

Event Planning Committee

The GSPN invites those with an interest in event planning and the promotion of professional development and networking to lead or serve on our Event Planning Committee. Our Spring Open House Networking Mixer is currently our only official event. However, as our committee develops, we would like to expand our event activities.

Connect for Success

The GSPN invites those with an interest in helping connect and pair experienced graduate students with new graduate students to become involved with our Connect for Success program, which is in the early planning stages.
