Interesting info

This is a meadow plant that sometimes dominates surrounding farm fields.

This plant, which I found in the woods, may have grown from a stray seed brought in by an animal.

You ought to know

Height: 1' - 3'

Frequency: Only one or two plants have been seen in the woods.

Blooms: April-May

Range: Abundant in cultivated ground in southern Indiana.

Also known from North Carolina to Missouri and from Florida to Texas.
